Tour Permits can now be done on-line at the National BSA site. You must have an account to sign in. This is also the same site where the Scout Training can be done. Once you get into the site, click on "Tour Permits" under the "Unit tools" tab. You will need to "Create" a new permit and give it a name. Then just follow the steps. The program they have to do this is not very well designed and you will find yourself re-clicking on the same tab several times to fill out the same line. The main advantage to doing this online is it is automatically e-mailed to all those who need to approve and receive it. No more need to drive down to Council.
